Buff and Blend High Strength/ Heavy Cut Green Disc
This type of Buff and Blend High Strength/ Heavy Cut Green Disc is made of a tightly woven material. Not to be confused with less dense materials sold in stores. The disc measures 1/2″ in thickness in single ply application. Sold in single ply but can be used in 2 ply application. 2 ply application will require arbor extension for most models of buffers/grinders. When used in 2 ply application it will stiffen up and create an even more abrasive surface. Also if looking for a lighter strength cut, check out the Single ply Blue Buff and Blend,  2-ply Blue Buff and Blend, or the Satin Airway. Furthermore you could use sandpaper to sand even further to achieve that Show Shine finish. The Buff/Blend High Strength discs will cut down your sanding and prep time before polishing.
 BUFF AND BLEND USES:
The buff blend high strength Green disc is the first step in heavy oxidation removal. It should be followed up with either the single ply or 2 ply blue buff and blend. Followed by the red Satin airway to lift the heavy removal lines. This product works great for removing heavy oxidation/pitting in a shorter amount of time. Here at Evan’s Detailing and Polishing we use them to remove concrete off of aluminum wheels. In addition, they can be used to remove years of acid or chemical burns in one short application.
WANT SHOW SHINE? TRY THIS:
To achieve that show shine from a heavily oxidized piece of aluminum it will take time and multiple steps. Our recommendation in achieving the show shine finish is as follows: 3 Step Buff/Blend High Strength, Blue, then Satin Airway. Followed by the 320-400-600 grits of sandpaper. To finish use the 2 step metal polish kit to polish to perfection. If you are looking for a Show quality finish out of your heavily oxidized aluminum consider purchasing the 3 step kit.
