This domet flannel buffing wheel has a 10" diameter, perfect for opening up on a angle grinder into a final finish show-shine. 40 ply domet flannel isn't your grandmother's flannel. Known as one of the polisher's hidden gems. The standard domet flannel is typically a 16 ply with a metal centerplate. Not only is the 40 ply twice the thickness but it eliminates the center plate. Without a center plate the buff is only sewn in the center. Just a center sewing allows it to fluff out and cover more surface area. The wider surface area allows more even and consistent finishes. The more even and consistent your finish the higher the shine. This buff has multiple uses. One of its most used applications is to remove hand polish like Time2Shine aluminum polish after application. Apply the Time2Shine Aluminum polish by hand and use either a green or blue rouge on the loose flannel to take the residue off. If you are still looking to remove the darker black residue when finished you may want to consider using the whitening powder as a final wipe. As a precaution do not spin faster than 3,000 rpm.
